Day-size children’s backpack built from 900 D recycled polyester with a water-based polyurethane backing that meets EU REACH substance limits. Main compartment opens via a YKK reverse-coil zipper with an auto-lock slider; internal sleeve fits A4 folders or a 10″ tablet. Front utility pocket uses the same zipper specification and contains two built-in slip sleeves for small items. Side pockets are elasticated 500 D fabric and hold 350 ml bottles. Back panel and shoulder straps are padded with 10 mm cross-linked PE foam and lined to the same 900 D fabric for structure. Straps are 30 mm wide contoured webbing, edge-stitched and bar-tacked at 20 kg load points; chest strap is removable and adjusts 12 cm vertically. Top carry handle is 20 mm webbing, bar-tacked to an internal reinforcement patch. All main seams are double-run and reverse-taped to block dust; thread is bonded polyester rated at 30 kg pull strength. Finished piece passes EN 71-3 heavy-metal migration and ASTM F963 flammability tests for children’s products.
