Compact children’s backpack built from 600 D recycled polyester with a water-based polyurethane backing that meets EU REACH substance limits. Main compartment is secured by a YKK nylon-coil zipper with an auto-lock slider; internal back-wall sleeve fits a 7–8″ tablet or A5 notebook. Front accessory pocket uses the same zipper specification and gives quick access to small items. Reverse side and shoulder straps are padded with 8 mm cross-linked PE foam and lined to the same 600 D fabric for structure. Straps are contoured 25 mm wide webbing, edge-stitched and bar-tacked at 15 kg load points; sternum strap is removable and adjusts 15 cm vertically. Back panel uses two horizontal slots to thread luggage handles for suitcase stacking. All main seams are double-run and reverse-taped to block dust; thread is bonded polyester rated at 30 kg pull strength. Finished piece passes EN 71-3 heavy-metal migration and ASTM F963 flammability tests for children’s products.
